Condolence: Over our extended family Christmas dinner we exchanged good memories of Fr. Campion and the much too short time he spent at St. Francis of Assisi. As an altar boy I very much admired him and always enjoyed talking sports with him. Our prayers for his soul and for his family.

Condolence: Dear Father Campion, You are finally resting in PEACE!! I wanted to always, always thank you, yet again, for participating in our son Jon's healing from leukemia. You helped us with a very special prayer/healing Mass when Jon's blood counts were down too low for us to attend the service for the sick safely. You arranged a very special prayer service for us prior to the Mass and I thank God (and YOU)! Jon is alive and well at 25 years old. He was only 4 years old when he was diagnosed. His twin sister Michelle will never forget you either. Thank you for saving our family, and may you enjoy the love and peace that you so easily gave to all others, and hopefully can enjoy yourself now that your trials are over. God Bless You and Please continue to pray and help our family. No, nevermind, it is time for you to rest...finally!!
Love, Agnes, Gilbert, Jon and Michelle Reynolds

Condolence: My husband Doug and I were married by Father Campion at St. Francis Church in Torrington in 1982. He was so kind and so good to us. Doug was not a Catholic - not even baptized - but Father welcomed him and made our wedding happen. We stayed in touch at Christmas for years. He was a good, kind man and he will be missed. May he Rest In Peace.

Condolence: Our family was blessed to have known Father Campion as parishioners of Corpus Christi Church and students at Corpus Christi School. He was a gentle, devoted, caring, and loving man that made the world brighter being in his presence. He had that wonderful ability to make you feel better just seeing his smile and hearing his words of encouragement. His love of the Lord was reflected in all that he was and did. Thank you Father Campion for your many years of devoted service and helping us see the wonderful gifts that God has given us. Your life was inspirational to all that met you.

Condolence: It was my great honor to have known Fr. Campion for over 50 years. Growing in West Hartford, my brothers played baseball with some of his nephews and often saw him in WH and later at the seminary. Later, when I moved to Wethersfield, I was so happy to find Fr. Campion at Corpus Christi. We kept up on our families' news - even the next generation when my son happened to play hockey against Father's grand-niece! Both of my children received the sacraments of Baptism and First Penance and Communion from Father and he graciously came to St. Brigid's and con-celebrated my father's funeral Mass without being asked. He was the consummate priest and meant so much to so many. May he rest in peace and I will keep his family in my prayers.

Condolence: Sincere condolences to Father Campion's fellow priests and to his beloved family and friends. He was a sterling priest and a model of what that sacred calling means to all Catholics. I am privileged to have known him. May he enjoy his reward and his re-connection with those priests who have gone ahead of him to enjoy their eternal reward. Rest in peace, Father.
