The Twist!
In the 1950s, can't recall exactly when--or where, my family visited Ronnie (yes, Ronnie!) and sister Patricia and their parents. Our mothers were first cousins. My brother had polio also so there was an additional bond. I remember everyone being so pleased that Ronnie had won the Twist contest at school. He gave us a little performance! He, along with his family, never let polio define or limit him. I wish I had kept in contact with him and Patricia--but now, after reading his obituary, I hope to track down Patricia!
