William L. "Bill"  Leahey
William L. “Bill” Leahey, 90, of Wethersfield, beloved husband of the late Pauline Mae (Paprzyca) Leahey, peacefully passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016 in Hartford Hospital. Bill was born June 27, 1925 and raised in Hartford, son of the late William and Helen (Choquette) Leahey. He attended the Hartford School System and graduated from Trinity College. Bill and Pauline lived in the Frog Hollow Section of Hartford moving to Wethersfield, where they resided for more than 60 years. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for many dedicated years at the Travelers Insurance Co. Bill and Pauline enjoyed 20 years of spending winters in Anna Maria Island, Bradenton, FL where they made many wonderful friends whom were like family. He continued to winter in Anna Maria for the last 10 years after Pauline’s passing. Bill will be dearly missed by his two sons, William J. Leahey, of North Carolina, Thomas P. Leahey, with whom he shared his home; sister Evelyn Gibson of Shoemakersville, PA; two grandchildren, Natalie Sequeira of New Jersey and William S. Leahey of Miami, FL. Friends and relatives may pay their respects to the Leahey family Monday, February 22, 2016 from 4-6pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Bill’s life will be Tuesday, February 23rd at 10am in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bill’s name to the charity of the donor’s choice.
