Thomas E. “Tot” Grady, 91, of Hartford, the beloved husband of the late Helen Fenton Grady entered into the Lord’s embrace Friday, December 12, 2008. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late William & Kathryn Grady. Avid outdoorsman and traveler, Tot served with the U.S. Army during WW II as a Staff Sergeant in the South Pacific. Tot retired after many years with the U. S. Postal Service. He is survived by grandson, Keith T. Lavoie and wife, Kristen C. Lavoie, and their daughter Madison Kathryn Lavoie of Duxbury, MA. He is also survived by another grandson, Craig A. Lavoie of Bradford, R.I. In addition to his parents and his wife, Helen, he was predeceased by his daughter, Kathryn Grady Lavoie. Tot is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as grandnieces and grandnephews who cared for him deeply. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at 9am from the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd, Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Ave, Hartford. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Rd, Bloomfield, CT. Friends and relatives may call on the family, Monday, December 15, between, 4-7pm.
