Visitation: 4 ~ 7 pm February 07, 2014 at Farley Sullivan Funeral Home,34 Beaver Rd, Wethersfield, Connecticut
Thomas F. Gibson, 39, died unexpectedly at his home in Wethersfield on February 2, 2014. Tom graduated from Wethersfield High School, earned his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Hull, England and went on to complete his Master’s degree in Molecular Biology at the University of York, England. He was employed at the UConn Health Center in Farmington as a Research Associate. Tom was active in the Men’s Garden Club of Wethersfield and served as Lieutenant in the Connecticut Governor’s Horse Guard. Tom also struggled with the piano, enjoyed vodka martinis and loved playing polo. He will be fondly remembered by his mother Gail M. Peck, his father Fred B. Gibson and his wife Deborah, his aunts, uncles and cousins. Tom was predeceased by his grandparents and his aunt Dorothy Johnson. Family and friends may call from 4-7 pm Friday February 7, 2014 at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd. Wethersfield. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday February 8, 2014 at 9:00 am in the First Church of Christ, 250 Main St., Wethersfield, CT. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the High Hopes Therapeutic Riding, 36 Town Woods Rd., Old Lyme, CT 06371.
