It is with profound sadness that Alphonse C. Morrone Jr. announces the passing of his beloved wife of 48 years, Therese Marie (Ryley) Morrone, on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Hartford Hospital after a prolonged illness. She resided in Wethersfield. Along with her husband, Therese leaves her beloved daughter, Cynthia Ann Decasperis and her husband Jim; adored grandchildren, John, Peter, and Kristen Decasperis, all of Suffield; brothers, John Palmer Ryley, Charles Ryley, Dennis Ryley ; sisters, Mary Ellen Ryley, and Marian Ryley; a niece, Laura Frantzich of King George, VA, for whom she had a special affection for. Therese was born May 30, 1941 in Norwich, daughter to the late John and Mae (Quinn) Ryley. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, infant Kathleen, Billy, Jim, and Larry Ryley. During her husband’s work career in Washington, D.C., she resided in Chevy Chase, MD for 30 years, and was a top saleswoman of women’s clothing at an upscale retail clothing store, Therese and Al returned to their “roots” in Connecticut to be close to their daughter’s family. Therese loved her family and was loved in return. She will be sorely missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 10am in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Mourners are asked to go directly to the Church. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Therese’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield.
