Susan “Sue” A. (Kolakowski) Cyr, 62, of Wethersfield, the beloved wife J. Roger Cyr, passed away peacefully at Hartford Hospital, Sunday, March 10, 2014 surrounded by her family. Sue was born April 15, 1951, in Hartford, the daughter of the late Ludwig and Sophie (Koren) Kolakowski. She attended and graduated from the Hartford School System, then continued her education earning a Bachelor’s Degree, and becoming a Registered Nurse. Along with her husband Roger, Sue will be fondly remembered and never forgotten by her loving family; her two daughters, Stephanie Fanelli and her fiancé Daniel Fetko, of Vernon, Alissa Amara and her husband John, of Westbrook; a brother, Steven Kolakowski and his wife Lori, of Rocky Hill; and her cherished grandson, Brody Amara. Friends and family will remember Sue most, for her love of gardening, amazing ability to bake, and selflessness. Her giving and caring nature will be missed by the countless lives she has touched. In addition, Sue will be forever remembered for her sense of humor and the joy she brought into our lives. Friends and relatives may pay their respects to the Cyr family Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 4-7pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Sue’s life will be held Thursday March 13, 2014 at 10am in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway., Wethersfield. All are asked to go directly to church. Interment will follow the Mass in Village Cemetery, Marsh St., Wethersfield.
