Susan (Hill) Ackley, 76, of Hartford, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, peacefully passed away Sunday June 7, 2015 with her family by her side. Born September 17, 1938 and raised in Plainville, Susan was the daughter of the late Arthur and Hazel (Hart) Hill. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the City of Hartford, Board of Education for many years. Susan will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family; four daughters, Debbie Sasseville and her husband Andre of Wethersfield, Cheryl Couceiro and her husband Tony and Karen Gagliardi and her husband Mike, all of Berlin, Gloria Therrien; ten adored grandchildren, Amanda Torres, Samantha Grenier, Nick Couceiro, Amber Lamitie, Sabrina Couceiro, Jessica Sasseville, Dylan Therrien, Jake Therrien, Natalie Couceiro and Chris Gagliardi; as well as four cherished great grandchildren, Dante Torres, Mason Torres, Dominic Torres and Zoey Grenier. She will also be greatly missed by her cat, Tony. In addition to her parents, Susan was predeceased by her son Todd Ackley, her brother Richard Hill, and her sisters Margaret Perron and Marion Perron. Susan’s family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 from 4-7pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield. A Memorial Service celebrating Susan’s life will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 10:00am in the Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in Plank Hill Cemetery, Plank Hill Rd., Simsbury. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the VNA Home Hospice, 111 Founders Plaza, East Hartford, CT 06118.
