Stephen J. Phillips 46, of Wethersfield, CT, loving husband, devoted father, son, brother, uncle and friend entered into eternal peace, Monday, Oct. 13, 2008 at Hartford Hospital, in Hartford, CT. He was born Sept. 5, 1962 and raised in East Greenwich, RI. Stephen leaves his beloved wife, Shelly (Lowe) Phillips and their cherished children; son, Colby Phillips and daughter, Abby Phillips, all of Wethersfield, CT. Stephen was the son of Lewis A. Phillips of East Greenwich and the late Theresa (Mello) Phillips. He also leaves behind four brothers, Thomas, Michael, Charles and James Phillips all of Rhode Island; four sisters, Mary Shepard, Margaret Zuercher, Susan Lacombe, all of Rhode Island and Elizabeth Carlson of North Stonington, CT. Stephen is also survived by his treasured mother and father-in-law Mary and Robert Lowe of Naples, FL, and many nieces, nephews and very dear friends. Stephen was employed for the last twenty five years with the Falvey Linen Co, of Cranston, R.I, most recently as Manager of the Connecticut Division. Stephen had a love for spending time with his family, cooking and gardening. A memorial service celebrating Stephen’s life will be held this Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 11am in First Church of Christ, 250 Main St, Wethersfield, CT. Stephen’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd, Wethersfield, CT, October 17, 2008 from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers Stephen’s family asks friends to consider memorial donations to either the American Heart Assoc, 5 Brookside Drive, PO Box 5022, Wallingford, 06492, or the Food Bank, 505 Silas Deane Hwy, Wethersfield, CT. 06109.
