Stephen John Maloney, 53, of Tolland passed away July 11, 2014 in Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was born in Hartford, son of the late Richard H. and Dorothy (Jewett) Maloney and lived in the area all of his life. Stephen was a Past Exaulted Ruler of the B.P.O.E Lodge # 19, Hartford, an avid Red Sox fan as well as the Seattle Seahawks. He also enjoyed golfing and traveling, especially Newport and Lake George. Stephen worked for the Travelers Insurance Co. as an IT specialist. He leaves behind the love of his life, Janet McMahon, two brothers, Richard J. Maloney of Manchester NH and William P. Maloney of Simsbury, a sister, Susan M. Ditta of Melbourne, FL and his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Skehan, Joshua Maloney, Moriha Aronowitz, Sarah Maloney, James Markham and Sara Voogt. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Robert Maloney and his loving furry friends, Critter and Harley. Friends may call Tuesday July 15, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd. Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Stephen’s life will be held Wednesday July 16, 2014 at 10:00 am in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy, Wethersfield. All are asked to go directly to church. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill.
