Rose (Fierravanti) Siwy, 88, of Glastonbury, beloved wife of the late William J. Siwy, passed away peacefully Friday, December 20, 2013 in St. Francis Hospital. Nicolina Rose Marie was born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Nicola and Mary Antoinette Fierravanti. Rose lived in Glastonbury her whole life, graduating from Glastonbury High School”Class of 43”. She was a lifelong member and Communicant of St. Paul Church and an active member of the League of the Sacred Heart. Rose worked for many years for Connecticut General Insurance Company in Hartford. Rose leaves her children; William J. Siwy Jr. and his wife Karen of San Ramon, CA, David M. Siwy and his wife Marilyn of South Windsor, Anita M. Siwy-Knight and her husband James Knight of Quincy, MA and Christopher N. Siwy and his wife Ruth of Glastonbury, her nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, three sisters; Teresa Fierravanti, Dolores Silvestro and her husband Guido and Anna Bisi all of Glastonbury, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband William, Rose was predeceased by her sister, Carmela Milardo and her brothers Vito and Rocco Fierravanti. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 27, at 9am from The Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave. Glastonbury followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St, Glastonbury. Burial will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery, Hopewell Rd, Glastonbury. Friends and relatives may call on the family, Thursday from 4to7 pm at the Funeral Home.
