Rosanne F. (DiMartino) Jolly, 75, of Newington, beloved wife of William H. “Bill” Jolly, passed away peacefully after a short illness, at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, with her family at her side. Born April 15, 1938 in Waterbury, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Angeline (Ranando) DiMartino. Rosanne grew up in Waterbury, attended Duggan Grammar School, and Wilby High School. She worked in the insurance industry most of her life, first for several private agencies then progressing to the Aetna Life and Casualty, from where she retired in 1993. Upon her retirement, Rosanne moved to Port St. Lucie, FL where she resided until 2003, prior to moving back to Connecticut. While in Florida, she enjoyed doing volunteer work for various organizations. She was an avid reader and will be remembered by all who knew her as a loving and caring person. Along with her husband Bill, Rosanne will be fondly remembered by her family; a brother and sister-in-law, Francis J. and Paula DiMartino of Roswell, GA; nephew, Marc DiMartino of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; niece, Deanna Repka of San Antonio, TX; stepdaughter, Barbra Spambanato and her husband Jim, of North Haven; stepson, Robert Jolly of Manchester; four cherished grandchildren, Katie and Patrick Jolly, Nicholas and Samantha Spambanato; as well as numerous cousins and many close dear friends. Friends and relatives may pay their respects to the family Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 1-3pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield, at which time a memorial service celebrating Rosanne’s life will be held in the funeral home at 3pm. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family requests in lieu of flowers, to perform an act of kindness to someone in need, along with living life to the fullest as Rosanne did.
