Rebecca Michele (Benson) Rodrigues, 35, of Rocky Hill, loving daughter, partner, sister, granddaughter, niece, and special friend, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013 at her home. Rebecca was born, April 19, 1978 and raised in Baltimore, Md. She was the daughter of Daniel E. Jr. and Ellen P. (Mlynski) Benson of Rocky Hill. She was a graduate of North County High School, Linthicum, Md, prior to moving to Rocky Hill, where she continued her education at Manchester Community College. She was employed at Inter-Community Mental Health Group, Inc. Rebecca was a special person who touched everyone’s life with whom she made contact with. She enjoyed many pass times, to include, watching and attending Yankees games with Paul, writing poetry, reading, music, collecting Wolf keepsakes, Dream-catchers, gymnastics, and animals. What she loved most, along with being an important part of her life, was spending time with her family, especially her newest nephew, Caleb, in addition to helping others. Along with her parents, Rebecca will forever be remembered by her loving family; her spiritual partner, Paul Rodrigues; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Jeremy and Kathleen Benson and their children, Jacob and Margaret; Joshua Benson: a sister, Brooke Benson, and her son, Caleb; Maternal grandfather, Richard Mlynski and his wife Shirley; Paternal grandmother, Teresa Benson; five aunts and four uncles, Mary and Marvin Price and their son Jason, Wanda and Ed Bergman and their children, Sherry, Cindy, and Heather, Ewa Wasicki, and her children, Marcin and Enya; Paul’s parents, Maria and Brian Phelan, and Antonio Rodrigues; as well as her special teacher, Mr. Jon Appelt. Friends and relatives may pay their respects to Rebecca and her family, Wednesday, November 13, 2013, from 10-11am at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield. A funeral service will be celebrated at 11am in the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family.
