Raymond J. Patterson, of Rocky Hill entered the gates of heaven on September 4,2011. He was born in Hartford on October 23, 1955 son of the late Richard G. and Suzanne (Laflamme) Patterson and lived in the area all of his life. He was a graduate of Wethersfield High School ’73 and University of Connecticut ’77. While at UConn, Ray served as the UConn Men’s Basketball Team Manager. After college he was employed with the US Postal Service in Hartford for 32 years, having received numerous awards. Raymond served as the Hartford Surf fishing Club’s President and Treasurer for many years and was an avid golfer, belonging to the Portland Men’s Club. Raymond was predeceased by his wife Mariana. He is survived by his son Henry Patterson, a sister Louise (Patterson) Adamow and husband Richard of Rocky Hill and brother Daniel Patterson and wife Brenda of Newington. Raymond is also survived by his nieces and nephews Yvonne, Lauren and Ingrid Adamow, Justin and Christina Patterson and a great-nephew Shea Patrick. To those who truly knew Ray, they knew a tender spirit and gentle heart. We love you "MonMon!" A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday September 10, 2011 at 10:00 am in St. James Church, 767 Elm St., Rocky Hill. Burial will follow in the Patterson Family Lot in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours are private.
