Paul D. Mulready, 58, of East Hartford, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Middlesex Hospital/Hospice after fighting a yearlong battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family and friends.He was born November 1, 1952 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of the late Edward and Rosemary (Blake) Mulready. At age 9, he moved to Hartford and graduated from St. Augustine Grammar School, Bulkeley High School and University of Connecticut. Since graduation, he has worked in the insurance industry for Aetna Life and Casualty and ING, where he most recently was Senior Software Developer. He was an Associate in the Society of Life Insurance Actuaries.Paul was a very loving person, with a wonderful sense of humor. He was very actively involved in his daughters’ lives, including coaching their basketball teams for many years. He was an avid UConn and Yankee fan and he enjoyed his many trips with his friends to the stadiums to cheer on his teams. He also greatly enjoyed his annual vacation at Black Point. Paul will be fondly remembered by his three daughters, Emily, Erin and Sarah, his former wife, Karen; sister Barbara Kiczuk of Middletown; brother Steve Mulready and his wife Ann Marie, of Wethersfield; brother Peter Mulready and his wife Lisa, of Danbury; sister Kathy Bendzinski and her husband Tom, of Rocky Hill. Along with his parents Paul was predeceased by a sister, Christine Mulready, Sister of St. Joseph, Brooklyn, New York. In addition, he leaves his stepmother, Ann Mulready of Hartford, Aunt Delores Blake, formerly of East Hartford; former mother-in-law, Diane Wadsworth of Windsor Locks; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and his close and loyal friends, Joe McMahon, Steve Sjoblad, Ron Nightingale and Cousin Tom Blake.The Mulready family wishes to thank the dedicated and comforting Middlesex Hospital/Hospice staff, in particular, Paul’s lead nurse Kelly.Funeral procession from the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield, will be Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 11am, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12noon in St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Ave., Hartford. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery (Section 28), 453 Fairfield Ave. Hartford. Paul’s family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home, TODAY, July 15, from 5-8pm.
