Patrick J. Divane, 72, of Wethersfield, husband of Teresa (Lambe) Divane passed away, Saturday, August 17, 2013 at home with his family by his side. Born March 17, 1941 in Annascaul, County Kerry, Ireland, he was the son of the late John and Ellen (Herlihy) Divane. Pat came to the United States from Ireland in 1968 and went on to work as a carpenter with The Carpenter’s Union Local 43 for several years. He was an avid fan of Kerry Gaelic Football and New York Yankee Baseball. Besides his wife Teresa, he leaves his son, James P. Divane of Wethersfield, his two daughters, Eileen Divane of West Virginia, and Moira Divane of Wethersfield and a special nephew, Tommy Lambe, who was like a son to him. Pat also leaves a daughter- in- law, Laura Divane of Berlin and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his son, Peter P. Divane, two sisters, Moira and Hanna and two brothers, Jim and Tim. The Divane family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Hartford Hospital and the VNA Healthcare for the care and compassion shown to Pat and his family during this difficult time. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Patrick’s life will be held Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 10am in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Private Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Friday, August 23, 2013 from 5-8pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield.
