Obituary for Michael A. Hand

Michael A. Hand, 49, of Union and Glastonbury, beloved son of the late Allen W. and Doris M. (Ritchie) Hand, passed away peacefully at St. Francis Hospital. Michael was born October 9, 1964 in Windham, where he resided most of his life. He was a concrete laborer for the Hop River Co. Michael will be missed by his wife, Samantha Hand; a son, Michael Allen Hand Jr.; three brothers, six sisters, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in Michael’s name are requested to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675, woundedwarriorproject.org. Michael’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury, CT 06033.
