Interment: 12:00 PM February 25, 2009 at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Road., Bloomfield, CT
Mary (Cosgrove) Fitzpatrick, 91, of Hartford, wife of the late Sylvester W. Fitzpatrick, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2009. Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Patrick and Lena (McNamara) Fitzpatrick, she lived in Hartford all of her life. Prior to her retirement, Mary worked for many years with the State of Connecticut. Mary was known for her dry sense of humor and was an avid reader, who loved to listen to books on tape in her later years. She leaves her two sisters, Helen McDermott of Windsor Locks and Anne Carifa and her husband Al of Enfield; three half sisters, Sr. Theresa Marie Cosgrove of West Hartford Patricia Geohegan and her husband, Jack of Bloomfield and Noreen Cosgrove of Manchester; three half brothers, Anthony Cosgrove & his wife, April of Newington, Joseph Cosgove and his wife, Mary of Wellfleet, MA. and John Cosgrove and his wife, Jacqueline of Windsor as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 9:45 am from The Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, 494 New Britain Ave., Hartford. Burial will follow in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, CT.
