Marion M. (Sissy) St. Pierre, of East Hartford, beloved wife of the late Willard R. St. Pierre, entered eternal peace, Saturday June 21, 2008 at Hartford Hospital. Marion was born January 26, 1933 in Hartford, daughter to the late James E. & Veronica (Matthews) Madden, where she grew up, attending the Hartford School System, graduating from Hartford Public High School. She was a Customer Service Representative for SNET for 28 years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, as well as AARP of Wethersfield, and St. Mary’s Ladies Guild of Newington. Marion loved to cook, entertain, and spend time surrounded by her family, especially her two grandsons who were the loves of her life. Marion had many special gifts and will forever be remembered as a wonderful and caring mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family; a son, Dennis St. Pierre of Vernon; a daughter, Michele M. St. Pierre of East Windsor; 2 grandsons, Kyle and Alex; a sister, Katherine Fischer of Newington; a brother Richard Madden and his wife Maria of Rocky Hill; a sister in law Helen Madden of East Hartford; an aunt, Ruth Matthews of Wethersfield; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, James E. Madden Jr.; a sister & brother in law, Teresa & George Oulundsen; and a brother in law Thomas A. Fischer. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of unit B-11I at Hartford Hospital, for all their kindness and compassion. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 9:00am from the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd, Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am in Our Lady of Peace Church, 370 May Road, East Hartford. Interment will follow in Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. Marion’s family will receive relatives and friends in the Funeral Home Tuesday June 24, from 4-7pm. The family requests in lieu of flowers, and that memorial donations be made in Marion’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St.Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, 800-805-5856, online at donors@stjude.org.
