Magdaline M. Corry, 90, of Wethersfield, loving wife of the late Michael J. Corry, peacefully passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Hartford Hospital. Magdaline was born in Ennistymon, County Clare, Ireland, daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Flaherty) Garrihy. Prior to her retirement, Magdaline worked as a waitress for many years at the Hartford Club and the Hilton and Sonesta Hotels. Magdaline will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her son Patrick Corry (with whom she resided) of Wethersfield; two cherished grandchildren, Michael and Molly Corry (Wethersfield), and their mother Terri Morrissey (Southington); her sister Monica Flynn of Limerick, Ireland; her sister and brother-in-law Betty and Freddie Myatt of England; her sister-in-law, Christine Szwaja of Acushnet, Massachusetts; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Magdaline was predeceased by her son Desmond Corry. Friends and relatives may pay their respects to the Corry family Saturday morning, December 3, 2016 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Magdaline’s life will be held at 10 a.m. in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Internment will follow the Mass in Rose Hill Memorial Park (Section 30 ), 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, Suite 301 Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183 .
