M. George Jezowski, husband of Nancy (Zambon) Jezowski, of Wethersfield, died Tuesday August 20, 2013 in Hartford Hospital. He was born in Rome NY, son of the late George and Beatrice (Tenerowicz) Jezowski. George was a graduate of Rome Free Academy and Bryant College and after returning to Rome, was employed by the Revere Copper and Brass Co, like his father. He later moved to Boston, where he met the love of his life, Nancy, and joined Rubbermaid Co., where he worked for over 40 years. In 1962 George came to Connecticut and a year later George and Nancy were married and settled in Wethersfield. They had two sons, John and Alex, who were his pride and joys. One of his great pleasures was introducing the boys to golf and playing with them. George also had many fond memories of the family summers in Scituate MA. George and Nancy recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, along with his 80th birthday. He was extremely proud of his Polish heritage. He will be greatly missed. Besides, Nancy, he is survived by his son John M. Jezowski of Wethersfield, his daughter-in-law Karen Zimmer Jezowski of Milton MA, a brother Walter Jezowski of Rome, NY and many special close friends. He was predeceased by his son Alex. The Jezowski family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Alexandra Flowers, the Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center at Hartford Hospital, the VNA Hospice, and the Brain Tumor Support Group for their tremendous care. A Memorial Service will be held Monday August 26, 2013 at 11:00 am in the First Church of Christ, 250 Main St. Wethersfield, CT. All are asked to go directly to church. Burial will follow in Village Cemetery. Friends may call at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home 34 Beaver Rd. Wethersfield, CT 06109 from 3-6 pm Sunday August 25, 2013.
