Laurie K. Trzcinski, 100, of Glastonbury, loving wife to the late Alexander Trzcinski, peacefully passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015 at home in Glastonbury. Laurie was born June 22, 1915 in Holyoke, MA, youngest of five children to the late Joseph and Elenora (Karpinski) Kosenski. She resided in the Hartford area for over 75 years. Prior to her retirement, Laurie was employed by the Travelers Insurance Co. Her most important work was done at home, that of being a devoted Mom, raising and caring for her family. She was a communicant of SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, Hartford and Corpus Christi Church, Wethersfield. Laurie will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her son Alexander Trzcinski and his wife Judi, of Andover; her daughter, Andrea Merry, of Marlborough; a sister-in-law Helen Winarski; four adored grandchildren Kevin and his friend Beth, Erin, Meaghan and her husband Benjamin and Brian and his wife Elizabeth; as well as five cherished great grandchildren, Mia, Ella, Jase, Lucas and Austin and a great grandchild due to arrive in March, Baby Kitchin. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her siblings Adoline, Jean, Sophie and Chester; and her son-in-law David Merry, numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many dear friends. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Laurie’s life will be held Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 10am in SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, 63 Popieluszko Court, Hartford. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers memorial donations are considered in Laurie’s memory to Vitas Hospice of Glastonbury, 628 Hebron Ave., Suite 300, Glastonbury, CT 06033 or the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd, Newington, CT 06111.
