Kevin Patrick Tierney, 57 of Rocky Hill, died Saturday February 2, 2013 at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Bridgeport on April 14, 1955 to the late Robert and Carol (Nieman) Tierney. Kevin was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, cherished brother and brother-in-law and known as the fun uncle to many nephews and nieces. He leaves behind his wife of 30 years Norine (Jensen) Tierney, two daughters, Alicia Tierney and her partner Jodie Dube and Michele Tierney and her fiancé Justin Lionetti. Kevin worked at Buckley Associates in Newington for the past 25 years. He also coached T-ball in Rocky Hill when his daughter played and was always on top of following town sports, looking for familiar names. Kevin was proud of his Irish heritage and treasured the St. Patrick’s Day parade and festivities with his forever condo crew, friends and family. It didn’t matter who you were, your needs came before his. Besides his wife and daughters, he leaves behind four sisters, Karen O’Brien and her husband Matthew of Rocky Hill, Jill Moran and her husband Jay of Milford, Meg Smith and her fiancé Rick Gault of Brooklyn, CT and Tricia McDermott and her husband Jerome of Monroe, a granddaughter Brooke who made him smile more than anyone and 19 nieces and nephews who have made him proud to be their uncle. He also leaves two very special friends Michael and Denise Lucarelli of Shelton. Come and celebrate the life of “KT”, lifelong Mets and Rams fan. Kevin’s legacy will continue on in others through the gift of tissue donation. The funeral will be held Monday February 11, 2013 at 10:00 am from the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd. Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. James Church, 767 Elm St. Rocky Hill. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-5pm Sunday February 10, 2013. Per Kevin’s request, please come in your favorite football or baseball shirt or casual dress. Please “NO TIES”.
