Judith C. Healey, 76, passed peacefully Saturday, December 6th at her home with her family by her side. Judy was born November 12, 1938 in Hartford. She attended Saint Augustine Catholic School and graduated Bulkeley High in 1957. She married her high school sweetheart and made Wethersfield their lifelong home. Judy was an original, a hot ticket, a rare spark of life, a blessing; a brightness on this earth. Her huge heart and relentlessly positive spirit made the world a happier place. She was a gracious, warm and genuine gal whose focus forever was on those around her. If you needed anything, Judy was there in a drop of a hat. Didn't matter either, who you were – family, neighbor, friend or stranger. She was vibrant, fun-loving, stubborn, quite forward and downright sassy at times. She made caring for loved ones her life cause - her reason for being. Family, her husband, children, and grandchildren were her every breath, her every light, caring for them deeply from her heart and soul. She was the center of their universe and all were warmed by the goodness she radiated. She had many friends from all stages of her life. She leaves them knowing they were truly loved. Especially those from the South End, Mitchell School, Pine Acres, Bliss Market, Cascio’s Pasta Shop, Day Berry and Howard and a few sales folks at Lord and Taylor. Her spirit is carried on by her adoring husband of 53 years, Donald R. Healey, her daughters Kelli and Staci, her grandchildren Tyler, Breanna, Kacee, Haley and Liam, her brother Dick, her “adopted” son Jimmy as well as many nieces and nephews she loved dearly. She was predeceased by her parents Richard and Mary Casey and her sister and partner in crime Mary Jane. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Judy’s life will be held Friday, December 12, 2014 at 10 am, in the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield. Memorial donations may be made in Judy’s name to Hartford Healthcare, 1290 Silas Deane Hwy, Suite B, Wethersfield CT 06109. We will miss you dearly Jude, Mom, Grammy, Gigi, Mama Jude, Mrs. Asterblitz, Casey and Case. Don says “Be Good, Kid”.
