Joseph W. “Joe” Laurinaitis, 30, beloved son, grandson, brother, and nephew, lifelong Glastonbury resident, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012. Born October 26, 1981 in Hartford, he was the son of Linda (Snell) Laurinaitis, and the late William J. “Bill” Laurinaitis, and brother of William L. “Billy” Laurinaitis. Joe was a graduate of Glastonbury High School, Class of 1999. He continued his education, earning two degrees, a Bio Technical Degree from Middlesex Community College, and a General Studies Degree from Manchester Community College, making the Dean’s List in both colleges, in all semesters with A’s in Chemistry. He had a great appreciation of music, he loved opera, and on another side, the music of Phish, attended many performances, with the most memorable being the biggest Phish camping show in Alligator Alley, Florida at the turn of the century(1999-2000), for a thirteen day show, with his brother Billy, best friend Phil, and other friends. Joe loved his job, and at Connecticut Business Systems, held a great admiration for the Vice President of Operations, Steve Berry, who he thought was an amazing man, had great respect for Kathleen, (his supervisor), who always had his back from day one, enjoyed all the “life” talks and the assistance with work from Giana, Sonia,Nancy, Kelsie, Aaron, and Renee; and was impressed with his trainee, Katelyn, who he felt was so smart and did pick up the training with super speed. A special thank you to the friends where he lived, Bonnie, Don, and Olive (the dog), the late night conversations, including the 10pm smokes, that were enlightening; KP and family, especially Priya, for treating Joe as their own; special appreciation to Linda’s friends Pam, Judy, and Robin, who always believed in Joe and his abilities. Along with his mother and brother, Joe will be fondly remembered by his maternal grandmother, Phyllis Snell, of Maine; two uncles and aunts, Robert and Lisa Snell, with their two children, Jordan(who Joe thought was awesome, like two peas in a pod) and Matt, all of Maine, Gloria Lou and John Pilczak, with their two sons, James and Johnny, all of Massachusetts; and many cousins and close friends. Friends and relatives may call on the family Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 10:30am – 12:30pm, at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. To extend online condolences or for further information, please visit farleysullivan.com. I will miss all of you. Who I left behind. Do not worry, I am Fine. Love Joe
