Joseph H. Dwyer 82, of Vernon, devoted husband of 57 years to Theresa (Nolan) Dwyer entered into the Lord’s embrace Wednesday, June 4, 2008. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late William & Elizabeth Dwyer. Joe had worked for many years with Tilcon Tomasso as a truck driver and was a proud member of Teamsters Local 559. Sharing in their loss, in addition to his wife, Theresa are his children; Susan Anderson and her husband Larry of South Windsor, Luann Szerejko and her husband Francis of Vernon, Joseph Nolan Dwyer Sr. of Vernon, John P. Dwyer and his fiancé Denise Paradis of Tolland, and Jeffrey W. Dwyer and his wife Lynn of Stafford Springs. He is further survived by his sister Barbara Konior of Windsor. Joe was blessed with 7 grandchildren; Kyle Anderson of Brooklyn, N.Y, Ryan Anderson of South Windsor, Cpl. Joseph N. Dwyer Jr, U.S.M.C, Trevor J. Dwyer of Columbia, South Carolina, Peter Anderson Skatka of Pearland, TX, Stephanie LaBrecque and her husband Rob of Manchester, and Christopher Szerejko of Vernon, and great grandchildren, Austin & Trinity LaBrecque of Manchester. He also leaves his daughters, Carol Hupfer of FL. and Joanne Payron of Springfield, MA. Joe was predeceased by his brothers Bill & Richard Dwyer. The family would like to thank the staff of Rockville General Hospital for their care and compassion. Funeral Services will be held Friday June 6, 2008 at 11am in the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd, Wethersfield. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Cottage Grove Rd, Bloomfield. Friends and relatives my call on the family Friday, June 6 from 10-11am at the Funeral Home.
