Obituary for
Joseph L. "Joe" Antinerella
Joseph L. “Joe” Antinerella, 67, of Wethersfield, husband to his devoted wife and best friend Louri (Jordan) Antinerella, peacefully passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital. Joe was born and raised in Hartford, son of the late Louis Joseph and Jean (Polce) Antinerella. He attended and graduated from the Hartford School System. He continued his education at technical school where he became certified as a Plumber, which led him to a job with the Joseph Abbate Plumbing Co. After several years Joe decided to change his career path, he was hired by the State of Connecticut as a State Marshal, serving for many years, retiring in 2011. He was a member of the Hartford Whalers’ Booster Club, as well as a member of the Democratic Party where he devoted countless hours to fundraising and campaigning. Joe was an amazing man, who was kind to everyone he came in contact with. Despite his illness and pain, he never lost his kindness, nor his sense of humor. Along with his beloved wife Louri, Joe will be dearly missed by his brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Jo-Ann Antinerella of Green Hill Beach, RI; two aunts, Jeanne Donza and Lorraine Pappalardo; a daughter Amy Chantry; two granddaughters; his two devoted friends, David Hubbs and Zak Boykin (who Joe considered a son); many nieces and nephews; and not to be forgotten, his beloved four legged companion Hamlet, who Joe and Louri rescued. In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by a brother, Richard Antinerella. Friends and family may pay their respects to the family Monday, July 6, 2015 from 5-7pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield. A Tribute to Joe’s life will be held at the Funeral Home Tuesday July 7th at 10:30am. Interment will follow in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery (Section O), 1 Cottage Grove Rd., Bloomfield.
