Obituary for John E. Reynolds

John E.  Reynolds
John Edward Reynolds, 93, passed away Saturday June 6, 2015 with his family by his side. Born in Stoneham, MA, he grew up in Cornville, and Skowhegan, ME, with his parents, the late Bess and Amos James. John moved to Hartford, CT, where he worked for Colt Firearms, Smith Worthington Saddlery and the Hilton Hotel. Later, he lived in OH, where he continued working for the Hilton Hotels as a Maitre’d, until his retirement. He returned to CT in 2011. He served in the CCC’s in ME, helping to build roads and facilities of Arcadia National Park. John enlisted in the US Army in 1943 and served his country in France and Germany with the 28th Anti-Aircraft Battalion Company, under General Patton. He is survived by his son Jon and his wife Elissa of Wethersfield, his grandson Zachary Reynolds of Wethersfield and granddaughter Erin Aremu of Attleboro, MA, his great-grandchildren Tobi, Mayowa and Kerri Aremu, his brother Ronnie Easter of Sarasota, FL and his Jacqueline Bounds of West Harrison, IN. John was predeceased by his first wife Grace (Halle), his second wife Marjory (Raley), his son Daryl, and his grandson-in-law Kore Aremu. Special thanks to the great staff of Brittany Farms Health Center (Unit 5) for taking such good care of John. He was a great supporter of the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, 3329 Burnet Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45229-3095. Services will be private. The Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home has care of the arrangements.
