John P. “Tady” Lynch, of Simsbury, husband of Rosalie (Randazzo) Lynch, died Friday, June 7, 2013 in McLean Health Center. He was born in Hartford, son of the late John Francis and Theresa (Flaherty) Lynch and lived in the area all of his life. Tady was a graduate of The Cathedral of St. Joseph School and Weaver, Class of 1943. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps and served with honor as a Staff Sergeant during WW II as a tail gunner, B-24 Liberator, 15th Army Air Corps, 316th Bomb Group, 513th squadron, stationed in Italy. Prior to his retirement, he was employed 42 years by the Southern New England Telephone as an Operations Area Manager. Tady was a member of the Pioneers of America, President and member of the Board of Directors for the Hartford Telephone Federal Credit Union, Vice-President of the Connecticut Telephone Workers Union and a member of the Rotary Club. Besides his wife, Tady leaves two daughters, Kathleen Lynch-Mussen and her husband Dan of Colchester, Janet (Lynch) Black and her husband Harry of Simsbury, a son, John P. Lynch, Jr. and his wife Jeanne of Rocky Hill, 6 grandchildren, Kelley Lynch, John P. Lynch III, Sara Mussen and Kate (Mussen) Werme and her husband Jordan, Kay (Black) Kirsche and her husband Jamie, and Michael Black. He also leaves 6 great-grandchildren, Samantha, Lukas, and Devin Werme, Kaya Rose Lynch, Eric and Emily Kirsche and a sister Mary (Lynch) Landers. He also leaves sisters-in-law Pauline Daloe, Marietta DeSarro and her husband Hugo, and Arlene Randazzo, nieces Doreen DeSarro, Nancy Carbone, Anita Bellows, Theresa Barwick , Brenda Codding, Catherine Peterson, Judy Petty, Sarah Huston and Ellen, Susie, Sally, Mary and Nancy Mulvey, and nephews Edward, Brian, and Finbar Mulvey, Thomas Landers, and Richard Daloe. He is also survived by his cousins Ann, Kathleen, Helen (Mastone), Margaret, and Bobby Kelly. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Anne Mulvey, nieces Patricia and Lynn (Dentzel) Mulvey, and Maria Randazzo, cousin Jimmy Kelly, and brothers-in-law Edward Mulvey, Francis Landers, Salvatore and Mike Randazzo, and Henry Daloe. His pastimes included crossword puzzles, driving, enjoying his dog Grace, and caring for his family and friends. He loved us all and we will miss him dearly. The funeral will be held, Wednesday June 12, 2013 at 9:00 am from the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd, Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Corpus Christi Church 601 Silas Deane Hwy, Wethersfield. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Rd. Bloomfield. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-7 pm TODAY June 11, 2013.
