Joan (Seastrand) Larson, 78, of Guilford, loving wife of Arthur V. Larson peacefully passed away at her home Sunday, March 13, 2016 with her family by her side. Joan was born in New Haven, March 4, 1938 to the late Alex and Helen (Hansen) Seastrand. Prior to her retirement Joan was employed for over 25 dedicated years at the Adams Middle School in Guilford. She then went on to work on Block Island, a place she enjoyed with her family, for Block Island Reservation at the Harborside Inn. Joan was the devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who will be dearly missed and remembered by her two sons, Arthur Larson and his wife Sandra, of Glastonbury and Mark Larson of Guilford; two adored grandsons and their spouses, Erik and Nicole Larson of Glastonbury, Jon and Kelly Larson of Old Lyme; and her two cherished great granddaughters, Savannah and Keegan. In addition to her parents, Joan was predeceased by her brother Richard and her sister Anne. Private funeral services for Joan will be held on Block Island at the convenience of her family.
