Obituary for James Moura

James  Moura
James Moura, husband of Marie Albertine (Grivois) Moura, of Wethersfield, passed away Monday February 27, 2017 in Maple View Manor. He was born on May 3, 1935 to James and Lucy (Moreno) Moura. Besides his wife of 56 years, Jim leaves two nieces, Victoria Dagamat of Boulder CO and Margo Stebbing on Nevada City, CA and his very best friends, Mario and Kim Marena of Wethersfield and Stephanie Wisz and family of East Hartford. He was predeceased by his parents, his sisters, Barbara Dagamat and Sandra Gagnon and two nephews, Steven and Jeffrey Scibetta. He was honorably discharged from the US Navy after serving from August 21, 1952 through April 5, 1955. Jim worked for Finest Food Stores for 19 years before working for the Earle M. Jorgensen Co., retiring 20 years ago this coming July. He loved baseball, especially the Red Sox. Jim also loved researching history and baseball history.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Jim’s life on Tuesday March 7, 2017 at 10:00 am in the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St, Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill, CT. There will be no calling hours. The Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Wethersfield has care of the arrangements.
