Helen (Wiezalis) Grabek,82,of Glastonbury, beloved wife of 59 years to the late Joseph W. Grabek Jr. passed away on Thursday (July 10, 2008) surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Celia (Karlowicz) Wiezalis. She made Glastonbury her home for over 50 years, where she was a member of St. Paul’s Church and was very active in the League of the Sacred Heart. Helen is survived by her four children and their spouses: William Grabek of Lebanon, Mark and Rachel Grabek of Paxton, MA, Diane and William Williams of Suffield and Anne and Mark Brayman of Colchester. Helen was blessed with ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is further survived by her sisters, Mary Zukis of Farmington and Cecelia Folcik of Bristol. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at 9:15am from the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Avenue, Glastonbury, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main Street, Glastonbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Monday, July 14, 2008, from 4-8pm.
