Francis M. Sheridan (80) (b. July 4, 1927) has gone to his eternal rest peacefully on June 18, 2008 after courageous battles with one illness after another. He was a proud member of Alcoholics’ Anonymous for the last 33 years. He was born in Hartford, CT to Michael and Ruth (Schulstad) Sheridan as the second of four children. Upon graduating from Weaver High School in 1946, he served in the U.S. Navy. He married his beloved wife, Margaret M. Ginnane (Yonkers, NY) of 50 years on Dec. 2, 1950. After a brief stay in West Palm Beach, FL, Frank and Peggy moved back to Hartford, CT to begin raising their nine children and moved to East Hartford, CT in 1961. Frank’s wife passed on April 19, 2001. Frank leaves his daughter, Ruth Lytwyn (Monson, MA) & son-in-law, Lawrence and grandsons, Lawrence and Timothy; eight sons: Francis (East Hartford, CT), Brian (Orlando, FL), Kevin (South Windsor, CT) & daughter-in-law, Maureen and granddaughters, Mary & Jennifer; Daniel (South Windsor, CT) & daughter-in-law, Bonnie, and step grandchildren Cameron & Margaret Schwind; James (Atlanta, GA), Joseph (East Hartford, CT), Dennis (East Hartford, CT) & daughter-in-law, Deborah and granddaughter, Elizabeth; and John (Somers, NY) & partner, Joseph Felicissimo. Frank leaves his brother, Thomas & Family, and sisters, Elida Mangan & family (Miami Beach, FL), and Mary Manno & Family (Coral Springs, FL.) Frank was a parishioner of St. Isaac Jogues Church. He was retired from Southern New England Telephone Company as a telephone repair technician (Hartford, CT) after 36 years of service. Funeral arrangements are as follows: Calling Hours on Sun., June 22, 2008 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Farley & Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury, CT (860) 563-9999. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Mon., June 23 at St. Isaac Jogues Church officiated by his son, Fr. Brian Sheridan, M.S., 1 Community St., E. Hartford, CT 06108 with burial immediately following at the Silver Lane Cemetery in East Hartford, CT.
