Frances H. McCarthy of Rocky Hill beloved wife of the late Henry F. McCarthy entered into eternal peace Thursday, June 18, 2008. Born in Port Arthur, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Jessie (Beal) Tanner. Frances retired after many years with the state of Connecticut and enjoyed the fellowship of St. Andrews Episcopal Church and it’s Senior Center. She was the wonderful and devoted mother to her children, Henry F. McCarthy and his wife Annetta (Ann) of Cochise, AZ, and Judy DelMastro and her husband John E. of Rocky Hill. She is further survived by her sisters Elizabeth (Betty) Fortin of Montreal, Canada and Gladys Balser. Frances was blessed with five grandchildren John E. and Eric H. DelMastro and David, Richard and Glen McCarthy and great grandchildren Mitchell and Ammie McCarthy. Frances was predeceased by her two sons Joseph Eugene McCarthy and Brian David McCarthy. Frances’ family would like to expend a special thanks to Fr. Bill of St. Andrews for his kindness and compassion towards Frances. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 23, 2008 at 10am from the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd, Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in the Church of St. Andrew the Apostle, 331 Orchard St, Rocky Hill. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 200 Whitman Ave, West Hartford. Friends and relatives may call on the family Monday, June 23, from 9-10am at the Funeral Home.
