Frances (Lagan) Borofsky, 85, of Hartford, beloved wife of the late, Peter V. Borofsky, entered eternal peace Sunday September 21, 2008. Frances was born on March 20, 1923 in Hartford. She was the daughter of the late, Frank and Catherine (Milano) Lagan. Frances retired after many years with the Hartford Post Office. Frances’ memory shall be cherished by a loving family; her four sons, Peter G. Borofsky and his wife, Susan of East Hartford, Mark E. Borofsky and his wife Barbara of Southington, Richard M. Borofsky, and Robert A. Borofsky both of Hartford. Frances was blessed with six adored grandchildren, Peter and Adam Borofsky of Manchester, Melissa Borofsky of Washington, DC, and Ricky Borofsky of Wethersfield, and Ashley and Alex Borofsky of Southington. She is further survived by her brothers, Richard Lagan and his wife, Irene of Rocky Hill and Robert Lagan of Hartford, as well as several nieces and nephews. Frances was predeceased by her two sisters, Irene Hall, and Margaret Malinowski. A Mass of Christian Burial will held Friday September 26, 2008 at 10:00am directly in St. Patrick & St. Anthony Church, 285 Church Street, Hartford. Interment will follow in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers the family requests friends consider donations in Frances’ name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 279 New Britain Road, Suite 5, Kensington, CT 06037. or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN. 38105 .
