Obituary for Evelyn R. Magee (Charboneau)

Evelyn Ruth (Charboneau) Magee, 92, of Wethersfield, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2015. Evelyn was the beloved wife of the late Albert Magee for 72 years. She was born in Hartford on August 22, 1922 to the late Alexander and Alva (Gengras) Charboneau. Evelyn attended Hall High School, West Hartford, graduating in the Class of 1940. She married her childhood love, Albert in 1943 and lived in Hartford prior to moving to Wethersfield, where they raised their family. Evelyn is survived by two sons, Greg Magee of Old Saybrook and Tom Magee and his wife Monica of Westerly, RI. She was predeceased by four sisters; her twin Ruth Leavitt, Alva Donahue, Edna Reid, Amelia Revellie and her brother Lawrence Charboneau. Funeral services will be private. Evelyn’s family would like to thank the staff of Watrous Nursing Center in Madison, CT for their wonderful care and support. Memorial donations in Evelyn’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011. The Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Wethersfield has care of the arrangements.
