Obituary for Eileen M. Sheehan (Radican)
Eileen M. (Radican) Sheehan, 81,wife of John Sheehan, of Wethersfield, passed away December 1, 2016 in St. Mary Home, West Hartford. She was born in Hartford on December 10, 1934, daughter of the late Joseph and Celia (Dillon) Radican. Eileen was a graduate of Bulkeley High School and lived in the area all of her life. She loved the beach and especially loved being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Eileen leaves her two sons, John Sheehan of Somers and James Sheehan and his wife Kathy of Niantic and her daughter Carol Winter of Enfield. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, John Sheehan and his wife Nicole, Tara Sheehan, Timothy Sheehan, Megan Gwudz and her husband Greg, Jenny Smith, Evan Sheehan, Kaylah Culp and her husband Dustin and Ashley Winter, six great-grandchildren, Grady, Sullivan, Flynn, Weston, Wade and Taylor and her sister Carolyn Hager and her husband Joseph of FL. Eileen was predeceased by a daughter, Margaret Sheehan and a daughter-in- law Betty Sheehan. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Mary Home for their compassionate care.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Eileen’s life will be held Tuesday December 6, 2016 at 10:00 am in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy, Wethersfield. (All attendees are asked to go directly to church). Friends may call on Monday December 5, 2016 from 3-7 pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd. Wethersfield. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The 401 Project MECP2 Duplication Fund, Rett Syndrome Research Trust, 67 Undercliff Rd., Trumbull, CT 06611.
