Eileen (Mullen) Poresky, 84, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of the late Ernest M. Poresky, entered eternal peace at her home with her family by her side. Born in Hartford on June 8, 1924, she was the daughter to the late Edward and Anne (Taylor) Mullen and had resided in Wethersfield most of her life. Prior to her retirement, Eileen was employed by St. Francis Hospital in the Patient Information Department. Eileen will be fondly remembered by her family; her two sons, Bruce A. Poresky of Portland, and Thomas M. Poresky and his wife Donna of South Glastonbury; her daughter, Anne J. Gauthier and her husband Alfred of Barkhamsted; three devoted sisters, June Mullen of East Hartford, Joan McKiernan of Bolton, and Kathy Doefler of New Hampshire. Eileen also leaves eleven cherished grandchildren, most especially Lory, who devoted all her love and time in caring for her grandmother; two great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and two special neighbors, Myrna Lamore and Jean Raffenella both of Wethersfield; her dearest friends at the Wellness Center. Eileen also leaves her devoted companion, her dog “Buddy”. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at 9 am from the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd, Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park (Section 25) 580 Elm Street, Rocky Hill. Eileen’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Funeral Home Monday December 8th from 4:00to 8:00pm. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in Eileen’s name to the American Cancer Society 538 Preston Avenue, Meriden, CT 06450 or the Connecticut Humane Society 701 Russell Road, Wethersfield, CT 06109.
