The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Eileen McCarthy can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Nsg. School & My Travels with Eileen

I met Eileen on our first day of nsg.school @ Rocky Hill Vet. Home in 1971. She came "charging" across the room, latched on too me, & said I was the only "sane" looking one in the class", little did she know, (thus began a too brief but Sooooo much fun time)We finished school @ Hartford Hosital. Some stories are probaley not appropriate too put down in print so they shall stay with me. We took our mothers to our graduation dinner together. We took trips up to Maine & N.H. & I wouldn't be surprised if road blocks were put up in other states to discourage us from entering. She use to call me "little flower" , remember, this was on the tail of the 60's. I can still see her in her bell-bottoms & clunky sandals (could hear her coming a mile away & I can still hear her voice" I miss you Eileen, and will find you on the other side, wherever they put us!!! Love you girl!
