Edla (Gerlander) Reynolds, 83, died Sunday October 5, 2008 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Bridgeport, she was a graduate of Harding High School. She was known to bring a kind word and a ready ear to others-she never met a stranger. She lived 23 years in the Hartford area and is survived by daughters, Elaine Workman and her husband Gary of Norwich, Julie LaVigne and her husband Ron of Wethersfield, and Claudia Reynolds of Nashville, TN; two brothers Bob Gerlander and his wife Jean of Oldsmar, FL, and Eric Gerlander of Milford; two beloved grandchildren, Ryan and Rachel LaVigne both of Wethersfield; three nephews, Eric Gerlander of Milford, Bruce and Tim Gerlander both of Orlando, FL; and one niece, Lynn Gerlander of New Hampshire; and her best friend, Victoria LaVigne. Edla’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road, Wethersfield, Tuesday October 7, 2008 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm after which time a memorial service will be held in the Funeral Home to celebrate Edla’s life.
