Casimira (Witkowski) Riley, 92, of Glastonbury, beloved wife of the late Thomas W. Riley, entered eternal peace Wednesday August 27, 2008. Casimira was born in Hartford on May 4, 1916, daughter to the late George and Sophie (Koliska) Witkowski. She was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for many years as a Purchasing Clerk prior to her retirement. Casimira will be fondly remembered by her family; her son and daughter in law Roger T. and Mary C. Riley; her daughter and son in law Paula R. and Norman N. Fierravanti; her cherished grandchildren, Kathleen A. Riley, Rocco Fierravanti & his wife Bonnie, and Roger Fierravanti & his wife Tammy; and great grandchildren Bill, James, Ashley, Nicola, and Michael Fierravanti. She also leaves her sisters; Regina W. Reynolds, and Wanda W. Vogt; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Casimira was also predeceased by her brother Joseph Witkowski. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Salmon Brook Nursing Center for their care and compassion. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Casimira’s life will be held Saturday August 30, 2008, at 10:00am directly in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main Street, Glastonbury. Interment will follow in Our Saviour Cemetery, Neipsic Rd. (adjacent to Rte 2 east) Glastonbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Casimira’s name to the Naubuc Restoration Fund, P.O. Box 632, Glastonbury, CT 06033.
