Carl A. Dobruck, 78, of Wethersfield, husband of Nancy (French) Perault-Dobruck, passed away peacefully, Friday, June 8, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital. Born, March 14, 1934, and raised in Hartford, Carl was the son of the late Charles and Florence (Stermer) Dobruck; he resided in Wethersfield for over 30 years. Prior to his retirement, Carl was employed by the State of Connecticut for over 35 years, as a Corrections Officer and was an Auxiliary State Trooper. He was a member of the Prison Retirees Association, the Firefighter’s Credit Union, where he held and Officer’s position, the BPOE Hartford and Enfield Posts. Carl was an avid drummer, along with having a passion for horses, and attending parades to watch the Governor’s Footguard. Along with his wife Nancy, Carl will be remembered by his family; four sons, James, Peter, Steven, and Michael; two daughters, Lisa and Lauri; a brother, Donald; four sisters, Marion, Eileen, and Shirley; along with fourteen cherished grandchildren; and an adored great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Carl was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and Phillip; and a sister June. Friends and relatives may call on the family Tuesday, June 12th from 4-6pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield. Funeral procession from Farley-Sullivan will be held Wednesday, June 13 at 9am followed by a Funeral Service at 10am in Trinity Episcopal Church Hartford, 120 Sigourney St., Hartford.
