Brian Anthony DiBella, 63, of Manchester, husband of Renata “Judy” (Vittorio) DiBella, passed away peacefully, Friday, August 8, 2014 at his home. He was born March 6, 1951, and raised in Hartford, son of the late Michael and Katherine (McGann) DiBella. Brian was a Civil Servant for the City of Hartford for many years, first with the police department as a patrol officer, and then transferring to the fire department as a firefighter, where he retired from in October of 2009. Along with his wife Renata, Brian will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his loving family; two sons, Brian M. DiBella and his wife Minna, of Tolland and Krystopher DiBella of West Suffield; a brother Michael DiBella of Massachusetts; as well as his two adored grandchildren, Bailey and Madison. Brian will also be missed by his many friends and his faithful dog Ollie. Friends and relatives may call on the family, on Tuesday, August 12th from 4-7pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Brian’s life will be held Wednesday, August 13 at 10am in St. Mary Church, 15 Maplewood Ave. East Hartford (all attendees are asked to go directly to the church). Interment will follow in Village Cemetery, Marsh St., Wethersfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
