Barbara Connors Biella, 74, entered into eternal rest on December 28th after an extended illness, with her family by her side. Born in Hartford on August 8, 1937, she was the daughter of the late James R. and Alice Kelley Connors. She grew up in Hartford and lived in Wethersfield for most of her life. Barbara retired from Peerless Insurance Company. She enjoyed gardening and was a devoted UCONN Husky’s Fan. She especially enjoyed watching the woman’s games from home with her feline companion Candy. Barbara loved her family and spending time with her good friends, Mary Lagana, Frannie Merritt, and Marlene Ellenberg. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, her dear brother Gerald P. Connors, as well as her loving daughter Diane "Dede" Biella. She leaves behind an Aunt, Patricia Ellis of Springfield, MA; a twin brother, William Connors of Wilmington, NC; and a sister, Sharon Viggiano of Groton, CT. Barbara will be deeply missed by her children and their spouses, Susan Fontanella and David Garfield of Lyme, Linda and Michael Baronowskus of Chester; her son Robert James “RJ" Biella of Wethersfield; and their father Robert Biella of Newington; her grandchildren, along with their spouses, and her great grandchildren, Karin Rosen, Lisa Provera and John Gorman, their sons Marc and Ryan, Robert Provera, his son Anthony, Melissa and Gary Dionne, their son Lincoln. In addition, Barbara also leaves behind several cousins and many special nieces and nephews. Her family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the caring staff, doctors, nurses, and nursing assistants at Middlesex Memorial Hospital for their outstanding care, support, and kindness. Barbara's family will receive relatives and friends at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield on Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 11am to 1pm, at which time a memorial service will be held, with Reverend Kathleen Peters officiating.
