Anne Lucille (Williams) Tamiso, 93, of Wethersfield and most recently Cromwell, beloved wife of 60 years to the late Louis W. Tamiso, passed away peacefully at Middlesex Hospital Sunday (August 3, 2008). Born in Mount Vernon, New York on February 25, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Williams. At a time when it was most common for women to be homemakers, Anne had a 24 year career at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, was very proud of her service there and often spoke of her job and her co-workers. In addition to her career, Anne had the energy and talent to be an outstanding cook, gardener, and homemaker. Anne loved to entertain and was a very gracious hostess to family and friends. She also enjoyed sewing and knitting, creating many wonderful gifts for family and friends throughout her life. Anne’s family always came first; she was a devoted wife and mother. She will always be remembered for her caring and generous nature. Anne will be fondly remembered by her family; her son, Lawrence Tamiso and his wife Elizabeth of East Berlin; her daughter, Martha Bauman and her husband Tom of Buena Vista, CO; her five grandchildren, Joseph Tamiso and his wife Cynthia of Jacksonville, FL, Emily Tamiso of East Berlin, C.J. Whelan and his wife Holly of Centennial, CO, Toby Whelan and his wife Breon of Parker, CO, and Megan Whelan of Lafayette, CO. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 2:00pm in the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd, Wethersfield. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Burnside Avenue, East Hartford. Anne’s family will receive relatives and friends in the Funeral Wednesday prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00pm. Memorial donations may be made in Anne’s name to the Alzheimers Association, Connecticut Chapter, 279 New Britain Road, Suite 5, Kensington, Connecticut 06037.
