Annabelle H.  Caruso (Haake)
Annabelle (Haake) Caruso, 88, of Hartford, beloved wife of the late Michael J. Caruso passed away peacefully on September 29, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Annabelle was born in November 12, 1927, to Henry and Emma Haake in East Hartford. She was predeceased by her brother, Arthur, her daughter Carol, son Thomas and daughter Mary Anne. She leaves 8 children, Larry and Ruth Caruso of Wellington, Fl., Patricia and Joseph Montineri of Glastonbury, Matthew and Denise Caruso of Windsor Locks, Susanne and Gino Torcasio of West Hartford, Michael and Janet Caruso of Granby, Anne Marie and Matthew Cirullo of Berlin, Peter and Michele Caruso of Bluffton, SC., and James and Suzanne Caruso of Glastonbury. She also leaves, very dear to her heart, 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition, Annabelle also leaves her caring cousin, Betty Anne Trani, as well as her dear friend, Lillian Colavecchio. Annabelle worked for the CT State Police, where she met her husband Michael and after raising her children, worked as a para at Bulkeley High School until she retired. She lived, was cared for and loved by many at the Hearth in Glastonbury where she made many friends. Our thanks go out to her wonderful doctor, Santo Buccheri, Hospice Masonicare and Salmonbrook Transitional Care. Friends and relatives may pay their respects to the family, Monday, October 3, 2016 from 4-7pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd. Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Annabelle’s life will be held Tuesday, October 4th at 10am in the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St. Wethersfield, attendees are asked to go directly to the church. Interment will follow the mass in Cedar Hill Cemetery (Section 29), 453 Fairfield Ave. Hartford. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.
