Anna E. (Roby) Manfredi, 93, long time resident of Glastonbury, wife of the late Anthony F. Manfredi, passed to her heavenly reward on Sunday, October 6, 2013, with her family by her side. Anna worked at several Glastonbury businesses, including, J.B. Williams, Glastonbury Bank & Trust, Monaco Ford, and the Glastonbury Citizen newspaper, along with co-owning the Caroline Bakery in Glastonbury with her husband. Anna was very creative, making unique wedding cakes, in addition to having a green thumb, growing African Violets and Orchids, which bloomed continuously. She kept friends and family supplied with white chocolate cheesecakes, polenta, and homemade ravioli and sauce. Anna will be fondly remembered by her loving family, a son Peter and his wife Trish, of Glastonbury; two grandchildren, Anthony G. Manfredi and Christi Manfredi-Wingo; three cherished great grandchildren,, Kailee, Steffanie, and Joshua, all of Albuquerque, NM. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating Anna’s life will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 10am in St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Rd., South Glastonbury (attendees are asked to go directly to the church). Interment will follow the Mass in St. Augustine Cemetery, Hopewell Rd., South Glastonbury. The family requests in lieu of flowers, and that memorial donations be made in Anna’s name to the Historical Society of Glastonbury, P.O. Box 46, Glastonbury, CT 06033, or to the Siamese Cat Rescue, 366 Meander Run Rd., Locust Dale, VA 22948, www.va.siameserescue.org. Anna’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury, CT 06033.
