Paul was born July 23, 1951 in Hartford, the eldest son of Dominick J. Console and the late Christine (Lisella) Console. He attended St. Patrick & St. Anthony School until his family moved to Wethersfield in 1962. He then attended Wethersfield Schools, graduating from Wethersfield High School, Class of 1969. Paul continued his education at the University of Miami, transferring to the University of Connecticut, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in 1973. After graduation, Paul attained his Connecticut real estate broker’s license. Paul’s successful banking career began at the Connecticut Bank & Trust Co. (now Bank of America), where he was a Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking, went on to Connecticut National Bank as a Senior Vice President of Private Banking, then to Gateway Bank, Norwalk Savings Bank, and Newtown Savings Bank, serving at each institution as Senior Vice President and Manager of the Commercial Banking Department. He retired at age 47 to focus on his most important career, being a full time father to his daughter, Elizabeth. Paul was very dedicated to his entire family and was proud to act as the trusted family advisor on all financial and business matters. Paul had a big personality and a passion for boating, which lead him and Betsy to join the Milford Yacht Club in 1982, which quickly became and remained his favorite place to be with family and friends. Along with his wife, Betsy, daughter, Elizabeth, and father, Dominick, Paul will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his two younger brothers, John J. Console (Laura Nash) and Mark A. Console; his niece, Serena Mays Console, and his nephew, Andrew John “AJ” Console; his aunt and uncle, Olivia and Sebastian “Subby” Dignoti, all of Wethersfield; his brother-in law, John Reddington “Reddy” Kennedy, and his nieces, Kathryn Kennedy and Madalyn Kennedy all of Superior, Colorado; as well as many cousins in Connecticut, California, and Florida. Friends and relatives may pay their respects to Paul’s family on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 5-7pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield. The family will also receive visitors at the church at 1pm, before the 2pm Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Paul’s life on Thursday January 21st at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St, Trumbull, CT 06611. Entombment alongside his mother in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford will be private and at the convenience of the family.
