Obituary for William Michael "Mike" Lewis

Michael “Mike” Lewis, 67 of Glastonbury, beloved brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and true friend peacefully passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016. Mike was born August 8, 1949 in Hartford and was raised in Glastonbury one of three children to William L. and Laurette (Bourbeau) Lewis. Mike attended and graduated from East Catholic H.S. where he excelled in Football and Basketball. He was a member of the Ski Patrol in North Conway, NH at Cranmore Mountain. Mike was a valued employee for Minolta in Atlanta, GA from 1983-2002 as a Technician who earned many awards for his work. He returned to Glastonbury where he enjoyed living a simple life, becoming a self employed “Jack of all Trades” who could fix anything. Mike had a huge heart and would assist anyone at any given time. Mike will be dearly missed and remembered by his loving family, a brother Kenneth P. “Ken” Lewis and his partner Jan Brady, of Savannah, GA; a sister Kathleen Lewis Gallagher and her partner Robert Tarquinio, of Franklin and Derry, NH; two nephews, Kieran Gallagher and his wife Megan, of Jackson Hole, WY, Evan Lewis of Florida; two nieces, Meagan Gallagher and her husbandJefferson Goethals, of Hinesburg, VT and Lauren Lewis Maille and her husband Rob, of Acton, MA; many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Friends and relatives many call on the family Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 11am-12pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury. A Celebration of Mike’s Life will follow at 12pm in the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be appreciated to the SPCA, 359 Spring Hill Rd, Monroe, CT 06468.
