Alice (Guinan) Clemens, beloved wife of the late Walter Clemens, of Newington, formerly of Hartford passed away Wednesday October 28, 2015 in Jefferson House. She was born on September 22, 1916 at home on Cedar Street in Hartford, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Cloonan) Guinan. Alice was educated in Hartford, graduating from Bulkeley High School, class of 1934. Prior to her retirement, she worked for the State of Connecticut Department of Labor.

Alice leaves her daughters, Nancy Clemens and Patricia Peasley of Wethersfield, her son Walter Clemens and his wife Karen of Windsor Locks, her grandchildren, Jeff Peasley and his wife Trisha of Tolland and Kathy Peasly Centurelli and her husband Tony of Wethersfield and her great-grandchildren, Madison and Tom Peasley of Tolland and Sophie and Zack Centurelli of Wethersfield. She was predeceased by her brother Christopher Guinan and sister, Mary Pulver. The Clemens family would like to give a special thanks to her loving caregiver Alice Parris and all her friends and staff at Cedar Mountain Commons and Jefferson House in Newington.

Friends may call from 9:15 to 10:15, Friday October 30, 2015 at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd. Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am in St. Augustine Church 10 Campfield Ave, Hartford. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Rd., Bloomfield.
